Some people find it difficult to position the Green Party. We believe in sound fiscal management and strengthening our economy, while ensuring that it is sustainable. And a sustainable economy means that social programs and the environment are healthy. More and more people are seeing the Green Party not as left or right, but as forward thinking.

Healthy Communities:

Clean air and water. Support for family farms. Extend early childhood education in a move towards national daycare. Income splitting for families. And more...

A Clean Economy:

Use the significant savings from reduced energy costs to subsidize green building from here on in. Becoming more efficient is cost effective and cost recoverable. Shift jobs to green industries. And more...

True Democracy:

We do not allow partisan politics to get in the way of good ideas and needed action. We agree with Canadians who say that it’s time for parties in parliament to get on with the job of combatting climate change and taking better care of our environment, our health, and our economy. And more... 

For the Yukon this means working together with all stakeholders to bring back our voice in Ottawa and to change the game from partisanship to enacting and lobbying for good ideas no matter which party came up with the idea. In this way, even if we do not form government, we can still move the Yukon and the country forward. Every vote counts. Vote for the leadership you want, not against who you don't want.
